windowws media player error C00D1199

hello, my windows media player encountered the following problem and on
previous versions of windows media player i user to be able to read these
files.

information:
Error message ID number C00D1199 : Impossible de lire le fichier

Error message text
Le Lecteur Windows Media ne peut pas lire le fichier. Il est possible que le
lecteur ne prenne pas en charge le type du fichier ou le codec utilisé pour
la compression de ce dernier

Windows operating system version
Windows XP pack2

i was trying to read mp3 files, half of my files are unreadable now, for
example
Fichier audio MP3 (mp3)
size of the file : 0 octets
???????

0 file size?  Sounds like there is no file.

Hello,

Yes there is a file, because i manage to read it with another player.
And when i transfer the file to another computer, i can read it there.
But, most important, files i could read before, i can't read them anymore now.
Could you tell me which codec or else i should install ?
