C00D109B error downloading codec

XP Home SP2
Trying to play .mpg. (plays on other PC's)
Get above error.
Starts downloading- then just says error downloading
Have reinstalled DirectX 9.0c
Have Media Player 10
Any help appreciated

Have installed PowerDVD and now can play file in Media player. I think it was
MPEG-2 missing.
