I have a problem which affects MP3 files only. WMA files sync correctly. If
any MP3 file is included in the list to be sync'd, I get an error "Windows
Media Player Encoder Helper has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience." Afterwards, the file is marked in the left
pane as "Error: The remote procedure call failed."

Converting files manually (using Plus! Audio Converter) works correctly. I
have tried removing/reinstalling Media Player 10 several times but just can't
seem to get past this errror.

As a last resort I may have to try a fresh install of Windows XP, but I know
it will take ages to complete and add everything back again. Has anyone else
had this problem and if so, have they been able to resolve it? Many thanks.
