In my PC the only the only programs I allow to update automaticaly is Norton
Antivirus updates. everything else is on a regular manual regular schedule.
Since my internet cache is emptied on shut-down, this morning, I noticed some
extra automatic internet activity on boot-up. Upon checking the temporary
internet cache I found that besides the normal symantect net detect, that
Windows Media Player had accessed the whole online store list for one reason
or another. I know this is pretty innocuous activity but I would like to find
a way to delete that list and also to disable automatic updates on window
media player. Right now, the best I can do is once a month updates......

I LIKE COMPLETE CONTROL ON MY TOOLS!! ....if I can??
