Hi!

I just recorded some wav files and would like to convert them to WMA
format. Can I do this somehow without burning them to CD first?

WMP 10 can rip music from CD, but I cant find a command to do the same
on Wav files I already have on my hard disk.

Regards!

Use ITunes. It performs this simple task eaisly. I cannot believe MP does not
provide an easy to get your file from your CD to a format to put on your MP3
player. I got "Play for Sure" with my MP3 player and all it turns out to be
is a promo for buying MP3s from MS. Good luck with MP

WMP v11 *does* rip files to multiple MP3-compatible formats. The OP
wanted to know how to convert one of these files to a different format.
Different problem. iTunes does do a WMA->MP3 conversion but only because
Apple crippled WMA support on the iPod device.

sorry about the rant on WMPs lack of wma support. So is WMP v11 going to
allow me to put in a CD and sync it to my WMA device with little interaction?
The way Itunes will put MP3 on my device from a cd?

Sorry Primoz but to get WMA files you will have to jump through hoops. That
is why I am having to use MP3s. Very sad.

Synch a CD directly to a WMA device?

I believe WMP and iTunes work in a similar fashion - they rip files to
disk, and the indexed library built from that synchs with portable
devices. YMMV with different makes and models of devices.
