C00D11B3: Encountered a network error
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the Player encountered a
network error. You might encounter this error message for one of the
following reasons:
The server is not available (for example, the server is busy or not online).
Try again later.
You are not connected to the local area network (LAN) or to the Internet.
Connect to the network or Internet, and then try again.
The proxy server settings for the Player are not configured properly. Verify
that your proxy settings are correct, and then try again.
To verify your proxy server settings
On the Tools menu, click Options, click the Network tab, and then verify
your settings in the Streaming proxy settings area.
Notes
If you do not know what your proxy server settings should be, on the Network
tab, select a protocol, click Configure, and then select Autodetect proxy
settings or Use proxy settings of the Web browser (available for HTTP
protocol only).
If you are connected to the Internet through a dial-up connection, you might
not be able to choose the proxy server. For more information, consult your
Internet service provider (ISP) or network administrator.
**done all that - nothing works - my problem is wanting to listen to online
radio stream at www.haltonfm.com .. and since upgrading to sp2 last November
- hasn't worked since.
can anyone with XP SP2 get into their listen live ok .. and if so - what did
you do!!

Don't know that I can really help, but this looks VERY similar to th
C00D11C4 in nature - which I have been encountering. Trying t
listen to a radio stream..
You said you just ugraded to SP2. I'm thinking it has something to d
with the Windows Firewall pieace that was added for SP2. On m
machine I have Windows Firewall disabled, but that is because I a
using Norton Internet Security instead
I have not been able to figure out what I need to open up in th
firewall to allow the streaming. I figure it HAS to be the problem
because I cross-checked by running WMP10 on an older Win2000 Pr
machine with no firewall. Listened to my stations no problem (o
dial-up, even)
If anyone can point me and "jayjay" in the right direction of what t
open up and/or disable it would be a great help!!!
