windows media player no sound .

when I open windows media player to see v.d.o. it only have picture. It NO
SOUND
and have some this word. " Unable to download an appropriate decompressor".
help me please.

You may want to test by rebooting and then running / downloading all of your
Windows Updates.

Of course you must have updated the Media Player updates also even though
you do not mention that you have?

And, deleting your temp files in C:\Windows\Temp

There are many temp files that increase every time you use your PC.  Have
you deleted the temp files in C:\Windows\Temp\

Or, if you use XP - the temp files are under your %user name% similar to;

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Local Settings\Temp
