hi,

today i incorporated an album with songs from the seventies in my
library. the tracks are encoded with wma9.1 192k 1-pass cbr and
secured with drm. after downloading and installing the
personalised license i hit the play button.

the music plays, but my izotope ozone 3 audio mastering software
no longer functions with this drm-ed music. the directshow
izotope plugin runs with the adaptx plugin and can be switch on
and off inside the plugin-tab of wmp 9. apparently these wma9.1
drm-files switch the plugin off.

what is the reason of this? in fact this is completely
unacceptable. i use legal bought and drm-ed compressed music and
now my enhancement software no longer functions.

can a representative of microsoft comment on this? reactions of
anyone else are also welcomed too of course.

best regards,

quadx

If you have bought DRM protected music you cant modify it - end of story

well, if this is the conclusion, i will never buy such stuff
again.

but seriously, this can't be the way it is intended. is it also
forbidden to change the bass and treble settings of your
amplifier, when playing drm-ed music?
