I have started getting this message when I attempt to burn a cd using MP 10
on my new Dell Computer. The answers given on this post aren't working. When
I try to reinstall I get a message that a newer version is already installed
and installation must stop. How can I get rid of this message and start
burning CD's again.

A reinstall would probably never fix this.

should be much more helpful.

This did not help. When I tried to follow the suggestion and download the
update, I got a message saying that the service pack I had was newer than
what I was installing and I couldn't install it with service packs.

Thanks,

Please include me in your email chain when you get a solution.
I am experiencing the same problem with a brand new Dell system.
Dell wants to simply replace the CD-RW drive.  MS won't help without
paying for tech support.
