What error message do you get?  Can you view the Media Guide in WMP?  Can
you view http://windowsmedia.com in IE?

I don't get any error message, I can access the media guide through both wmp
and IE. When I play a cd all I see is the tracks on the cd listed as "track
1, track 2, ect. thanks

If you run:
 regsvr32 wmp.dll
, can track info then be found... ?  What happens when you click "Find Album
Info" in WMP?
