Hello everyone,  I had all of my WMA's and MP3's in a folder that got
deleted.  I used a few different utilities to undelete the files, however
they no longer play and I get the following error messages:

First error message:
The file you are attempting to play has an extension that does not match the
file format.  Playing the file may result in unexpected behavior.
Second message after It OK
Windows Media Player cannot play the file.  One or more codecs required to
play the file could not be found.

what is missing and how can I repair my files ??  I am running MP10 and
XPsp2.  Same problem on other computers as well, something was removed from
my files when I restored them.

thanks...

Undelete tools do not restore files reliably.  You will need to reobtain
these files...

You would have to take to the makers of that tool.  You could attempt
playback in mplayer2.exe, also on your system, to see if it works there.  If
that does not work, then you need to contact the makers of the tool that you
used.
