As I understand it, Windows Vista natively supports the Xbox 360 HD-DVD USB
drive. I am considering purchasing this in order to playback HD-DVD movies on
my machine.

However, I haven't been able to find any definitive answer on whether or not
Windows Media Player 11 will support HD-DVD playback.

Also, if it is not supported, are there any third-party applications you can
recommend which will support HD-DVD playback?

Regards,

You may have to go through the Xbox...

On a related note, prior to Vista's release I read that the OS also wouldn't
play HD unless your monitor was plugged into your computer via HDCP. Not sure
though if that's true.
