When d/l music files it goes into a downloads folder my music plays fine but
as soon as i copy and paste the songs into my own folder ( my music) the
player does not play my songs. I get a little circle with an i in the middle.
I dont want to keep my songs in my downloads folder because thats just for

Try using drag-and-drop or the "move to folder" function from the Explorer
edit menu or toolbar to move the files. It sounds like your copy and paste
method is not putting the correct extension on the files. If the files
aren't corrupted you may be able to rename the extensions and make them
playable, but first you will have to "unhide" file extensions in
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options-View menu.

To get the Copy to Folder and Move to folder icons showing up in your
Explorer toolbar, right-click on the toolbar and select Customize. In the
box that pops up, first select then "Add" the 'Copy to' and 'Move to' icons
into the "Current toolbar buttons" list. Position them where you'd like them
to show on the toolbar. Close the Customize box and you should be all set.

You need to Monitor that folder in media player. To do that, press F3
key, or go to Library tab, click the small menu, choose "Add to
Library..." then click Advanced.

Click Add... button, then browse to the folder you've moved the files
to and add that as a monitored folder.

The tip the other poster noted is not to Copy+Paste, but select all
the files then drag the files to the new folder in windows explorer.

WMP should be able to keep track of the files if they're Moved, but
not if Copy+Pasted.
