ripping from a different drive

I would like to start ripping cds from an external drive to wmp rather than
ripping from the e: drive.  Is this possible?  If so, how can it be done

As long as the CD drive is attached, WMP doesn't really care.  Explorer just
gives it the CD Inserted notification and WMP responds to that. =)
