There sure is. In WMP, open the playlist, then choose Save As from the
dropdown box above the playlist.
You can select from the other playlist formats including M3U, although
it's worth mentioning that WAX is exactly equivalent to ASX, but
ideally should only contain audio content (and WVX is for video
really)
WPL format is similar to ASX in some regards, but supports a much
wider range of properties such as saved searches (star ratings, album
filter and so on) which is what's used when you save an Auto Playlist.

So Neil, what you're telling me and all others who have installed Vista
Ultimate, that it is lacking the simple ability to print a label to where
ever you want it, such as the cd/dvd surface itself with a lightscribe, with
out having to purchase more software from other sources when this feature was
available on previous versions of MS softwares?
What a pity isn't it?

You confuse me.
This feature has never been available on any previous versions of MS
softwares. It's always been some sort of external plug-in.
As Neil noted, you can use the "Save As..." functionality to save the
playlist as an ASX/WVX/WAX format if that's what your tool needs.

didn't plus pack or a winter themes pack have this as plugin?
I had XP installed on an Hp laptop which used the media center OS and I
would burn CD's in mps and have the ability to then take that playlist and
burn it to the CD surface with my lighscribed cd/dvd...
It was so easy.....I miss that.
