Several years ago Microsoft offered a plug-in(?) for media player that would
download the library information to an MS Excel file.  Because on a licensing
issue that I had at the time I could not get it.

I am currently using Vista Home Premium and I wonder if such a tool is still
available?  Or possibly, built in to the lastest media player edition?

I have been unable to find any info on doing this.

That would have been the media info exporter for excel/word, which was
in the winter fun pack listed on this page :

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/wm_winterfun.mspx

That predates Vista so I'm not sure it would work - and as of several
months ago that download was removed on several pages, however on the
page above the installer link still seems to be active.

I can't say if that will work for Vista WMP11 or more recent Office /
Excel versions -  you'd have to suck it and see.

If I recall correctly, that Excel power-toy only works against Excel 2003 or
something like that.  =\

Speaking for myself only.
