I need to do a firmware upgrade on my Creative Zen MP3 player but
cannot do so until I downgrade to WMP 10.  Unfortunately XP SP2 will
not rollback the player for me.  I have followed the instructions on
the Microsoft website but when I go into Add/Remove Programs and try
to rollback, the operation tells me that it succeeded.  I restart and
WMP11 is still installed so of course I can't remove the other
programs to required to do the Firmware upgrade.  Any ideas how to get
around this problem?

When had you installed the player?  What are the results of the player's
Help:About:Technical Support Information menu tool?

What are the last 50 lines of c:\windows\wmsetup.log ?

Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
