Windows Player 11 / Have audio but no video in VISTA

I have Vista Home Premium and when I try to play a video from the internet I
get the audio but no video. If I try quicktime, it works fine. Any
suggestions or recommendations ?

For what video file type? Does it work for certain video file types but not
for others?
