Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 With Windows XP Service Pack 2. I have a Sony CD
-RW burner that is an internal CD burner. Windows Media Player 11 (WMP) dose
not see this device when I open WMP and select the burn option. When I go to
options, WMP shows my Sony CD burner on its device list, so I know that it it
is there. I do not understand why WMP 11 is asking me to connect an external
CD burner when it should be looking at my internal Sony CD burner? What steps
should I take to get WMP 11 to see that my internal Sony burner is there and
use it?

Does the Sony have a "Recording" tab listed on it when you view the
Properties for it in Explorer?

Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
