I have always played a lot of wavs using media player.  Now almost all new
wavs I download won't play.  If I insert them into PowerPoint 2007 they play
just fine.  Also, Media Player won't play any .avi files.  I have always used
Media Player as my .avi player and up until yesterday it did just fine.  I
used software to convert an .avi to wmv and then it played just fine.  Any
ideas why these wavs won't play?  I have scanned with ZoneAlarm and SpyBot.

Thank you.

What error do you get, or do they just not work?
What changed on the system before this happened?
