WMP Won't Open, but I can hear the sounds

Hi All,

I'm using WMP version 11 for Vista. It had been working fine, then at some
point, it won't open when I click on attached files in Outlook emails. When
I click on the file attachment in the email, I hear the audio, but the media
player won't open automatically.

I've tried to look for answers in the various faq, and other self help
avenues.

I'd appreciate any help!

Are you using Vista Service Pack 1?

Hi Zachd,

Yes, I'm using Vista Service Pack 1. Since I posted this, the problem seems
to be intermittent. However, I cannot determine any pattern that causes it.
I'll explore the URL you provided to see if I can find anything that'll help
my issue.
