Hi, and thanks for the help beforehand.

My little brothers computer runs Windows XP SP2 that was upgraded from
Windows ME. He has Windows Media PLayer 10, and when he tries to open the
player, it doesnt appear. On the toolbar below, it shows that the program is
open, but it is not on the desktop. I have tried all the commands such as
"Move", "Maximise", and "Restore" to see if it might just be on the edge of
the screen with no luck. I have also tried to uninstall, reinstall, and even
uninstalling all other media players on the computer, but with no avail.

System Restore didnt help at all either. I am stumped by this, and any help
that can be given would be wonderful.

Again, thanks for the help!

I think you're broadly there with that approach though.

When you choose 'Move', try repeatedly pressing only the cursor
(arrow) keys on your keyboard - don't touch the mouse until you see
the player again.

As you guessed, there's a good chance it's opened off screen and just
needs to be nudged back on screen - though it's not predictable which
way to go, I usually try down / right, then up / left key combos.

You should be able to see WMP in Task Manager (press CTRL + ALT +
DELETE then choose Task Manager) and look for wmplayer.exe in the
list.

It's possible it's using 100% CPU doing something like background
media library updates - if so, try leaving it for a few minutes to see
if the CPU drops to zero and it then redraws.

HTH
