Sometimes when I play a video clip from the net I have the option to "Save
As", and sometimes the option is not available.
Is this something I can change, or work around.
Mostly silly, short clips, but I would like to save them to my hard drive.

Thanks

The free version of Real Player 11 http://uk.real.com/player/win/ (on
the right of that screen) has a much better in-place "Download Video"
button which is added to web pages as they load.

The only minor disappointment is there don't currently seem to be
editing tools for the video format used, which is OK if all you want
to do is play them back later for laughs.

Thanks.........  I already have Real Player11 and it works fine.  But the
clips I'm talking about are from newsgroups and have a *wmv* extension, so
they automatically open in Media Player.

Again, thanks.

So what's a sample URL where that isn't possible?

Forte Agent newsreader (which I'm using here) can reliably download,
and piece back together videos from the Binary newsgroups :
