Organizing custom ripped CD

I have ripped several CDs into Windows Media Player that were custom made CDs
from Rhapsody.  The player will not organize the tracks from these CDs even
though I have manually edited the media info with the advanced Tag Editor and
then tried to update the album info online.  Even though I have found the
matching albums, the player only wants to link with an album that has the
same number of tracks as the ripped CD.  Has anyone figured out how to
de-link these tracks from different albums that were ripped on one CD??

Find Album Information generally isn't meant to address this, since you're
attempting to use Find Album Information to say that one particular Album is
multiple albums.

Probably the easiest thing to do here is to directly edit the tracks and
then *not* use Find Album Information.

I have a similar (if not the same) problem. I have a CD with no Media
Information. There are songs from many different albums, artists, and year.
However, when I try to edit the Media Information for each individual track,
changing the album, artist, or year changes those for EVERY SONG on my CD.
The "Add or Edit Media Information" and "Troubleshooting" do not address this
problem.

My computer system is MS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

My Windows Media Player version is 11.0.5721.5230

How are you editing the Media Information?  Do not use Find ***Album*** Info
to do this as it's going to affect the whole **album**.  Instead either use
Advanced Tag Editor or do it directly in the library.
