''OE removed access to the following unsafe attachements
in your mail:" This message appears on all mail that has
been forwarded. Whatever attachment that is supposed to
have been sent is also removed.  I recently downloaded a
bunch of so called critical updates from the microsoft
website.  Now this message appears at the top to any
forwarded email.  Should I restore my computer back to
before these updates were downloaded???

Post to a relevant newsgroup: one dealing with OE. Make sure you mention the
version.

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, plus any
service pack updates.

Do not mail to me directly without invitation - you have a choice of
getting ignored or billed for my time. Most questions can be answered
by reading recent NG posts, checking the MVPS web FAQs or searching the
relevant Google archive e.g.

This is something that we have come across when updating
security on IE6. We resolved this by taking the following
steps:

Go into Outlook Express and select 'Tools'
Go into 'Options' and select the 'Security' tab
Untick the box in Virus Protection about allowing
attachments that could potentially be a virus.

Hope this helps
