error Offset: e991403d then media player / IE7 closes

Suddenly I am getting an error when playing webpages with wmv content.
Offset: e991403d will display, then the page will shut down. If I download
the file and play it straight from my hard drive using media player, then the
error pops up and media player shuts down. I'm just trying to watch movie
trailers - nothing fancy.
