I'm having the same problem.  I haven't changed my computer at all; no new
hard drives, burning programs or anything.  Why would a new program lose a
basic function? I can't find out why, but if you discover something let me
know

*SOLVED at www.stom66.com in the Misc Software section.

Two registry patches that undo changes made during the installation of Magix Audio Cleaner, causing WMP11 to display  "connect a burner and restart the player" message on burn tab.

I had the same problem and the only way to fix it that I found is to
reinstall windows
also microsoft will not help with this unless you want to pay them. Sorry
thats the only thing that worked for me.

I'm having the same problem and have spent weeks trying to resolve the issue
with no luck. The message I recieve is "connect a burner and restart the
player", also if I try to save photos to disk it also tells me " no device
detected ". I seriously need some help, this is really getting me upset.
Please help. xp ie7
