Organizing Media with Windows Media Player 11

I am obviously missing something. How can I organize media by using
drag and drop in WMP 11? Now, when you organize (say audio) media by
artist, you get a list of the various artist (including unknown). And
WMP11 stacks them. If I have some songs that are "unknown," I'd like
to see which songs those are, i.e., all unknown, by seeing a list of
them and then be able to drag and drop them over to the relevant
artists.

But I don't see an easy way to do drag and drop. So if we can't use
that method, then what method? Opening each song and changing the
property is absurd.

Thoughts?

I have been able to employ the drag and drop by simply clicking on the item,
holding down the left button on the mouse while moving the item into the
playlist or now playing window.

Anyone else figure out how to do this? Or is it best to just rollback
to WMP 10?
