I have a cingular 2125 with  1gig storage card and whenever I try to sync wth
my media player it constantly timesout while synching the music at about
20-30 percent done.

I just downloaded the patch for MP11 (KB931621) which fixes win mobile 5 and
MP11, but that did not fix my issue.  I also tried the fix "I am getting
disconnected while trying to sync large files to my device." found on page
http://labs.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter/troubleshooting.mspx

but that did not apply to me as I could not make the recommended change on
my device.  Or at least not that I could fnd on the device anyways.

Anyone else had any better luck getting their device to fully synch music?

It could be something as simple as the phone is a slow device. When
transferring to the card using the phone, it has to shovel (let's say)
1GB of data through the phone's CPU and then over its slow memory bus
to the memory card.

Instead, if you sprung about $10 for a universal memory card reader,
you should be able to move that data to the memory card using WMP (if
using USB2 card reader), then put the card back into the phone. It
should be around 4-5x faster than syncing via the phone itself.

HTH

Thanks Neil!  I probably should have included in my post that I use that as
my work around, but it is such a pain in the backside to remove the battery
and the card to sync music.  I was hoping that the WM11 patch would have
fixed it, but hearing that the device is just inately slow, that now leaves
me impatiently waiting for my contract to expire so I can get a discounted
upgrade on a new phone.  :)

Thanks again!
