Streaming video is bandwidth-intensive. If your internet connection
can't keep up with the stream rate of the video, repeated buffering is
to be expected.

If we assume that the problem is just WMP isn't correctly detecting
your internet bandwidth, go to media player menu Toolls -> Options ->
Performance, and click "choose connection speed" folowed by setting
the dropdown box to DSL/Cable (768kbps) which should be enough for
most video online.

To counter the buffering, you might increase the buffering a litt,e ,
say from 5 to 10 or 15 seconds (this will introduce a statrup delay).

If the media player then continues to buffer content, you'll have a
longer delay between pauses anyway, so this isn't optimal.

Of course, you might be finding the "far end" web or streaming server
is overloaded and can't keep up with demand, that depends on which
videos these are, and what time of day in many cases.

HTH
