T,
I used to be stationed in Okinawa, Japan with a guy named Tim Melton back in
1985, probably not you, but found it interesting that your T and your account
is Melton. It rang a bell from way back then....
Anyway, on to the issue you're experiencing. You've tried other CDs, you've
tried these CDs in other computer drives, all successful. So what is unique
about these discs?
Are the problematic discs all by the same publisher? Are they enhanced
discs? Copy protected discs? Enhanced discs have a built in multimedia
experience that can have videos, lyrics, etc. Copy protected discs, such as
some of the ones issued by Sony?

They dont appear to have any other features on them. They ran first time and
without any videos, etc on the second computer. That computer is running
WMP10 though.
If they are enhanced discs is there a fix to get them to run in my WMP11

I have run across some new commercial discs (new as in just purchased, not
necessarily just manufactured) that will not play in one or two of my PCs and
CD players but will play in some if I try enough of them. I think it is just
a case of a marginal quality CD played on a marginally performing drive that
gave me the problems.
