I'm having the same issue exactly but on different KB number forget to rite
down.
My Issue started on may 26, 2007 after auto Win Upadate. I deleted IE7 and
reinstalled an issue was resolved but again aftert Auto Win Update  per
Software Distribution Service 2.0  before I installed I watched MSN Video ,
then I installed the Update and the problem of greenish screen appeared
again. So that's how i know the issue is IE7 OR WM11.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having same problem. Some sites the embedded video works fine, then other
sites you get audio, but the screen is solid green. I uninstalled KB931768
and everything works fine.

Green screen on Media player video after KB931768 update - got sound but no video when running IE7 - Media player works ok on Netscape.
Real player works ok on IE7.
I'm running Windows XP media center edition 2005.

Looks like an incompatibility problem between 3 Microsoft products. Have been working on Microsoft to supply a fix for 4 weeks now but no one seems to care.
Any Ideas?

Hi - problem has been solved compliments of the CNN (pipeline) help site.
information for fix below

---------------------------------------------------------
Are you seeing GREEN VIDEO? Try these QUICK and EASY steps
to start enjoying Pipeline video now:

1. Click on the Start button on the task bar to display
the start menu.

2. Click on Programs and select Windows Media Player.

3. Once Windows Media Player opens, click on Tools
(make sure the Windows Media Player window is maximized to
view the "Tools" heading) and click Options.

4. Click on the Performance tab.

5. In the Video Acceleration area, drag the slider
to the middle. Now check the video quality in the Pipeline
video player. Your problem should be solved.
(If you are not able to drag the slider, click the
Restore Defaults button to enable the slider).

6. If the problem persists drag the slider all the way
to the left. This setting should work with most video hardware.

--------------------------------------------------------
As to how the KB931768 update alters or affects this setting I don't know - it's up to microsoft to find the reasons.

Anyhow my problem is solved at this time. ( I had to adjust the "Video Acceleration" all the way over to "None" )

Hi all who are recieving this. I've determined that this issue generally
occurs on Intel 915 video chipsets after a recent update from Microsoft.

You can download the latest drivers from Intel from this website:

I have the same problem when trying to play streamind video on webpage and
get the green screen. If open another webpage I see the green screen from the
webplayer. The update for the Intel video 915 chipset does not work for me. I
have a Intel 82875P(875P). Please advise of any other solution to the problem.

I fix the problem of the green screen while trying to see streaming video on
the webpage by updating my nvidia video card drivers. After I installed the
updates and rebooted my system I tested a steaming video from a website and
play just fine. Thanks anyway.
