Boot Problem

My computer stops on the Windows xp screen (the blue bar stops).  I can
restart in Safe mode with Networking.  I get the following message from the
Event Viewer:

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
Fips
intelppm

I have another hardware config that boots fine, but has the lan card and
audio cards disabled.  When I disable the network card, the other config
works fine.  It seems like a network problem, but I don't know where to start.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

While it's not a Windows Media issue, I'll take a stab.

All the errors that I've seen on a websearch for those file names  where a
similar issue existed and was actually resolved, it was a hardware
configuration issue.

Did you install any aftermarket components (video, network etc) in the
system BIOS?  If so, did you disable the onboard component you were
upgrading?  That was the solution for some other people.
