Hi,
I need a solution. Here is the problem. In my environment I have 12 TVs. I
would like to stream advertising/controlled content to each of these tv's.
The content could be different for each TV. I would like all that to be
controlled from a windows box (windows 2003, windows media server, etc).
What do I need? How can I connect 12 TV's to a single PC? What hardware
allows this.

Thanks

First off, TVs don't display streams they display NTSC or PAL or HDTV signals.
So you're going to need a Windows Media decoder (Media Player) for each stream
before it gets to the TV.

Are you planning to create the streams?  Your question isn't clear.  Assuming
yes, you'll possibly need Windows Media Encoder and Window Media Services.

You need a video card (or cards) that can render 12 different displays.  I've
seen something like this but not sure what hardware was used.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the response.

The content will be created so that it can be played via windows media
player on any windows box.

Does the window media services allow you to control multiple different
streams?

For example I have 12 different video (mpeg2?) files on my file system. Will
the windows media services allow me to control each one at the same time?

Is there a webcast on windows media services capabalities anywhere?

Thanks

12x XBox might be cheaper than 12x PC's  ;-)

Yes, depending on what you mean by "control".

Not sure, but there is plenty of info at
