Rotating a video

I have an home video and it's in portrait. Does anyone know any way I can
rotate it to landscape, so I can watch it properly on media player? Thanks
(using media player with windows xp)

Assuming this is an AVI video from a DV or stills camera - VirtualDub
has a "rotate 90º filter" you could use : http://www.virtualdub.org/
