I have had windows media set on the same server as the ISA server and it
worked. since then I have set it up on a internal server. all works fine in
the internal network, but is unreachable from outside the LAN.

I have published the server for both MMS and RTSP
I have all ports open.
is there some one that has this set up already,

If you installed the Media Server on the ISA server the Media Server can
easily use port 80..

If you change to another internal server then other question are coming.  Is
on this new server IIS running then you receive port conflicts.

You can change the HTTP ports for the IIS webserver or for the Media Server
Recommended is to put a second NIC in your server and run the Media Server
on this NIC with a own IP adress on port 80

In your ISA server config place a new server publising rule for this new
server with the port you want to use.  Think about inbound and outbound.  I
think you will only stream to internal en external clients and not to other
media servers somewhere.

Wacht out for the 1755 port on your ISA server. ISA can handle some strange
things with this.   Read the docs about

yes IIS is running on port 80.

I have set WMS to run on HTTP port 7007

this link works from internal but does not work external,

when I get some one to test it, they say it dose not work, yet I can see
them connecting from the WMS control panel

when you publish a server in ISA 2000 you do nt get to name a port.
in web publishing you do

Port 7007 is used also for WMS ...

While ISA is handling ports above 1500 different try first port lower then
1500 (like 1450) en then there is something to do in the registry for the
Control settings...brbrbr

If you have somewhere a network card,... place that one in your server en
give it his own IP adress on port 80

The things you tried I already past en let me advice you to place another
NIC card
You can consider to add a TCP/IP to your existing NIC card but when I did
this I received other errors

If your externals clients test your stream, realize your upload stream have
enough width.

Do you streaming WMV with 759 Kbits/Sec  !!

I have removed ISA server, it seems that using another NIC defeats the
purpose of using ISA, so I removed it all together.

I may try ISA 2004 I heard it is much better

thanks for your time anyhow
