I disabled the Administrator account, even though it says you can't, I was trying to get rid of the log on, I also got rid of the guest account and now when I restarted the computer it Will Not Allow Me To Log On. It says the administrator account has been disabled. I can not get by the log in, even if I try safe mode and recovery and last known good configuration. Brand new computer and I need Help, I am stuck at the log on screen. Di Stolfo Great info but, in safe mode it takes me to the log on screen and the Administrator account is disabled so I can not log in. Opion two and three I think require me to be able to log in, in order to make the changes. Even though Vista info says that you can't disable the Administrator account I did, and it tells me this on the log in, the account has been disabled. Are there any keys that I may hit on start up that allow me to get by the log on screen? Andy Read the instructions on that website carefully. The procedures outlined there require that you boot form a Vista installation disk. First question, what is the start orb, is it the button on the screen at the bottom left after you log in? If so I can't log in to any account, and the Vista disk won't boot? So if I can't log on under any account, how do I see a user name? If I try safe mode or repair your computer, last know good config, they all take me back to the log on screen. How do I get past that?
