When trying to change a file in a game I recently bought, i get a message
saying i need permission from the admin, though I am the only user/admin.

Hello,
Right click on the file, click Run As Administrator, then run your
game. If still no go, click the tutorial link below ( take ownership of
an item), use Method One, easier.
