How do I change the log-in screen to the classic one (i. e. without user
picture etc.) ?

Hi Kai,
If you mean that  you don't want the computer to stop at the login screen,
Click on Start, Run, Type in Control userpassword2,  Then uncheck the box
next to "User must enter a user name and password to use this computer"

Paul, thanks for the hint. I actually referred to the possibility in XP to
get the "old fashioned" log-in form (with user-id, password, domain) and no
pictures ... in XP it was possible to change the appearance in the "User
Accounts" dialogue.

Hi Kia,

I think what you're looking for is the authentic Windows logon screen
(CTRL+ALT+DEL).

You should be able to force this for all users by doing the following:
1.  Click the Start button , type netplwiz in the Search box, and then
press ENTER.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or
confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2.  Click the Advanced tab, select the Require users to press
Ctrl+Alt+Delete check box, and then click OK.

This should work on all versions on vista. :)

Hope it helps

Grtz
