I am trying to intall my hp 1315 all in one on my new laptop with Vista, the
printer and copier work, but not the scanner. I have the software CD, but
it's not working to re-install because "I'm not logged on as the
administrator"...even though I am. Can I make it work with the CD I have, or
do I have to download something from the hp site? I am not very computer
savvy and this is driving me nuts!

You really need to chack the HP support website and look for updated or
Vista compatible drivers/software for that particular machine.
