When I run a CMD prompt in Vista and try to move files from one directory to
the other, I get access denied.  I am in the administrator group, but it
doesn't prompt me (of course).

I tried doing compatability on CMD.exe, but it is grayed out.

Suggestions?

Hey, I like the DOS prompt.

Have you tried right-clicking on the Command Prompt and 'Run as
Administrator' to see if it makes any difference?

or if you hate using the mouse, you can use "runas /user:administrator cmd"
then enter the admin password (if the user is not disabled).
