is there anything resembling classic search for explorer in vista beta2 (5384). i'm pulling what's left of my hair out trying to perform the simplest search operations :mad: yours frustatedly.... thanks I agree. Am I doing something wrong or does it not show folder name results in a search? I have a folder on my old XP desktop with my daughter's name on it and it never shows up in any search I perform. I have to go to it by the old-fashioned way in explore. :-( It searches inside documents and everything under the sun but doesn't come up with the folder in any search. I DID add the Documents & Settings folder to the seach index but this does no good. Possibly I'm just clueless. This search engine looks good if I could ever figure out how to use it.
