vista seems to have finished indexing my hard drive, and it proudly tells me
i have over 4 billion searchable items.  how is this possible?  i have about
40,000 files on all drives, and possibly as much as 100,000 emails, but 4
billion is a rather large number.  where is it getting that from?  it surely
isn't be my contacts list because it ain't that big!

thanks for any tips.

By default the search index includes contents of files along with filenames,
properties, and such. So if they’re mostly text documents like your saved
messages, there may well actually be 4 billion items in the search index.
