I have Vista and having problems with diret3d when i start age of empire 3?

go to start and run and type in "dxdiag" click the display tab and make
sure it says

DirectDraw Status: Enabled
Direct3D Status: Enabled
AGP Status: Enabled

Vista has DX10, but still needs some components from DX9 if the game needs
it.
