Vista games issue (minesweeper)

I am having a strange issue in Vista with Minesweeper, Purbles etc with the
text! Have a look at these screen shots:

You see the score in minesweeper and the tips in purble are cut off! This is
a new computer with a new install of Vista home premium. What can I do to fix
this?

Minesweeper is an awful game. I can't beleive it is still included with
Windows.

i'm having the exact same issue. I tried changing my screen
resolution...it doesn't fix it...It seems to be a problem with the
program itself

anyone know the fix???
