I recently reinstalled my Vista Ultimate and now have lost the option to
'close tray' on my CD/DVD drives' right click menus. Please advise, as
manually closing the tray will damage the synthetic eject cog over time, as I
found out the hard way before...

Can't you use the button on the drive to close the tray - if by "manually
closing" you mean actually pushing the tray shut.

Doesn't the drive have a open/close button?

I don't know what you mean by "synthetic eject cog"....?
