Recogination of 300GB Hard Drive

Window Vista will recognize my 300gb hd but I am not able to view it on the
"Computer" (Formaly "My Computer") window. As well I have no access to the
hard drive. My drive is a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 if anyone has the patch for
this or the solution please help me out on this one.

Try looking at the drive using the Disk Management snap-in.

What is the "Disk Manegement snap-in" ? and Where can I get it?

I'm having the same problem as you.

What he means by the disk management snap-in is...right click on the
computer icon or in your start menu and select manage. Then select Disk
Management. I don't really see what this does, but thats what it is....

Interestingly my external hard drive was not listed there, however it was
listed as a piece of hard ware like yours.
