Recogination of 300GB Hard Drive

Window Vista will recognize my 300gb hd but I am not able to view it on the
"Computer" (Formaly "My Computer") window. As well I have no access to the
hard drive. My drive is a Maxtor DiamondMax 10 if anyone has the patch for
this or the solution please help me out on this one.

In the "Device Properties" menu it says that "The device is working
properly." But it still dosen't show up in My Computer.
