The Vista build 5834 driver for the HP Photosmart 8450 has a glitch that when
you choose in the printer settings to print in greyscale it does not print in
greyscale...it worked once but then after that it always prints in color no
matter what.
Any Photosmart 8450 owners using Vista have this type of problem?
My specs are: HP Pavilion ZD8000 Notebook, 2.8GHZ P4 w/ Hyperthreading, 2GB
RAM, ATI X600 Video
I've tried disabling the printer and installing manually but still no
go....also tried uninstalling and reinstalling driver still no go....last
resort was re-installed Vista but that did not work either.

I hadn't noticed this until you said so... but yes, my 8450 is always
printing in color too.

and, apparently, an error message stating that "your posting was
unsuccessful" shouldn't be taken very seriously <g>
