I have an ASUS P4P 800 Deluxe. Integrated SoundMax Digital Audio.

Audio works fine when I first boot up computer.  I can play tunes through
iTunes but at some point (I think when I try using WMP 11) the audio stops
working with all programs until I reboot computer.

What could be causing this?

The problem I wrote about is definitely Windows Media Player 11 related.
Audio will actually work with WMP11 until I launch anything URGE related then
all audio stops working until I log back in to my account (no reboot
necessary).  I'm using Vista build 5384.

I had the same problem on my laptop. For no reason whatsever, the audio
suddenly stopped when playing on WMP and I had to restart. The problem I
found was with a sound card driver upgrade by Windows. I rolled back the
sound card driver to use my old/ original one and everything works now.

Mine starts, as well, but then sometimes stops or audio quality starts
breaking up. Tried different sound configurations, but that didn't help.
